During WWII Henry Ford's Ford Motor Company help weaponize the Nazi party. Henry was on a friendly basis with Adolf Hitler himself who idolized Ford and had a picture of him in his office. It is a fact that the Ford Motor Company of Dearborn, MI helped Nazi Germany build up it's truck and tank arsenal from 1931 to 1939. Henry Ford was decorated by the Nazi party for his services to Nazism.
"I regard Henry Ford as my inspiration," Hitler told a Detroit News reporter two years before becoming the German chancellor in 1933, explaining why he kept a life-size portrait of the American automaker next to his desk.
H. Ford was openly a notorious anti-Semite. He published articles in his newspaper The Dearborn Independent where he discussed in great detail the ill of humanity at the hands of all Jews. The DI ran with disregard from 1919 to 1927 when it was shutdown as a result of lawsuits for it's anti-Semitic propaganda. TDI reached 900,000 readers on a weekly basis and at the time was second only to the New York Daily News.
"When you think of Ford, you think of baseball and apple pie," said Miriam Kleinman, a researcher with the Washington law firm of Cohen, Millstein and Hausfeld, who spent weeks examining records at the National Archives in an attempt to build a slave labor case against the Dearborn-based company. "You don't think of Hitler having a portrait of Henry Ford on his office wall in Munich."
The tanks our American and allied soldiers encountered along with trucks that transported weapons, artillery, personnel and sustenance to and from the battlefield were mostly built by none other than the Ford Motor Company's German subsidiary Ford-Werke. Ford built a large factory in Cologne and pumped out thousands of vehicles to be used in battle against America and our allies. It employed over 8000 people, mostly enslaved Jews kept behind barbed wire while off duty.
Elsa Iwanowa, then 16yr old girl explains "The conditions were terrible. They put us in barracks, on three-tier bunks," she recalled in a telephone interview from Belgium, where she now lives. "It was very cold; they did not pay us at all and scarcely fed us. The only reason that we survived was that we were young and fit." Elsa was kidnapped from her home and forced into slave labor at the Ford-Werke motor plant.

You could open the hood of a German truck or tank and see the Ford stamp on the block.
As President Roosevelt asked for ramped up production at the Dearborn plant, Ford resisted.
Ford was the second-largest producer of trucks for the German army.
In June 1940, after the fall of France, Henry Ford personally vetoed a U.S. government-approved plan to produce under license Rolls-Royce engines for British fighter planes.
On December 6th, 1940 Henry Ford was promoted to 33rd degree Freemason. He had been a Mason since 1894.
